PROTECTION AGAINST THE SUN
When you work outside a lot it is important to: work clothes wear that protects you from the sun. In contrast to standard work clothing, UV-protective work clothing is equipped with a UV-resistant system. UV-resistant work clothing, just like sunscreen products, is available in different options. The lowest factor (low protection) is 2, which allows 50% UV to pass through and therefore repels 50% of UV radiation. The highest factor (excellent protection) is 50+, which repels more than 98% of UV radiation and therefore only allows less than 2% of UV radiation to pass through. At a factor of 50+ the transmission of UV radiation is so low that it has no harmful effects on the skin. So if you work outside a lot it is recommended to wear clothing with high UV protection to protect you against harmful radiation.
Sun protective work clothing therefore contains SPF (sun protection factor). This factor protects your skin against the adverse effects of solar radiation. Every time your skin comes into unprotected contact with the sun you run the risk of burning and this increases the risk of skin cancer. Employees who often work in the sun such as gardeners, must therefore optimally protect themselves against the sun to minimize the risk of skin cancer. Applying a sunscreen to your skin and putting on normal work clothes is not enough. If the work clothing is not sun-resistant UV radiation can still reach your skin. This also goes for cloudy days.
BREATHABILITY
If you often work in the sun you will also sweat more often. In this case it is nice to wear a T-shirt or polo that wicks away moisture well. For even more comfort it is recommended to wear breathable work clothing. The breathability of workwear is like a physical process. Warm air or moisture (such as sweat) naturally moves toward air with lower temperatures. The temperature control that breathable work clothing contains ensures breathability.
FEATURES COOLDRY AND UV BLOCK
UV Block
The fibers from which work clothing is made first determine whether the garment is breathable and whether it allows UV radiation to pass through. Fibers such as (bleached) cotton and viscose are extremely transparent to UV radiation. Polyester is a fabric that has a low permeability and therefore has a sun protection effect. But not only fibers provide UV protection. A special weaving technique and added artificial UV absorbers make the clothing UV-resistant. After washes UV resistance increases even more. Because the 'holes' between the fibers become smaller even less UV radiation can penetrate. The UV Block workwear from Tricorp is all 50+ SPF and therefore provides excellent protection.
CoolDry
To make the work clothing breathable a specially designed polyester fiber is used. In addition to UV protection this fiber also provides extreme breathability. This breathable fiber is often used in sportswear to absorb sweat and wick away moisture. Precisely for these reasons this fiber is also used to make work clothing. In addition CoolDry work clothing is hygienic, quick-drying and helps keep body temperature constant.

UV Block and CoolDry
All UV Block and CoolDry clothing is made of 50% polyester yarns and 50% CoolDry yarns. The clothing offers protection against the sun with 50+ SPF and is optimally breathable.
- Polo shirt UV Block CoolDry long sleeve: This neat polo shirt is available in 3 different colors: white, blue and green.
- T-shirt UV Block CoolDry long sleeve: This T-shirt is also available in white, blue and green. The T-shirt is particularly color and shrink resistant.
- Polo shirt RWS long sleeve: This safety polo shirt is available in fluorescent orange and fluorescent yellow.
- RWS long sleeve T-shirt: This is also a safety shirt that is available in two fluorescent colors.
- Traffic controller polo shirt: This polo is fluorescent yellow and fluorescent orange and meets the requirements for High-Visibility work clothing.
CoolDry
The CoolDry clothing is made from a combination of polyester and CoolDry polyester or bamboo viscose. This work clothing does not contain a UV filter but is extremely breathable.
- T-shirt CoolDry: This T-shirt is available in five different colors and in sizes XS to 4XL. The T-shirt is washable at 60 degrees.
- T-shirt CoolDry bamboo: This T-shirt has the same properties as the T-shirt above only it is made from a combination of CoolDry polyester and bamboo viscose. This ensures that the T-shirt is extra comfortable, extra ventilated and antibacterial. Bamboo is known for its restrictive effect on bad odors.
- Polo shirt CoolDry: This neat polo shirt is suitable for any time of the year. In addition to its breathability the shirt also ensures that the body stays warm.
- Polo shirt CoolDry bamboo: This polo shirt has the same properties as the above-mentioned polo shirt only it is partly made of bamboo viscose.
