However, polyester cannot be used for all fleece work clothing. For example, the material is unsuitable for flame-retardant fleece clothing, because it will melt when it comes into contact with fire. A mixed fabric of cotton and modacrylic is therefore usually chosen for these models. These fleece vests are slightly heavier, but are a reliable choice when it comes to protection against heat and flames.
