Multinorm work jackets against common safety risks

The term “multinorm” refers to the fact that these work jackets meet the guidelines of various safety standards: at least five, but for some models it can go up to seven standards. These are EN standards that apply throughout the European Union and in some cases international IEC standards. All multinorm work jackets from our range offer at least protection against the following common safety risks:

  • Fire and flames (EN 14116), often also in combination with ambient heat (EN 11612)
  • The occurrence of sparks and explosions during static discharge (EN 1149)
  • Poor visibility due to, for example, gas fumes or low light (EN 20471)

A large part of our multinorm range also offers protection against thermal hazards such as an electric arc short circuit (IEC 61482) and the mist or splashes of chemical liquids (EN 13034). Depending on the model, this may also include protection against the cold (EN 342) or rain (EN 343).

For complete protection against static discharge, it is best to combine your multinorm work clothing with ESD work shoes. These are work shoes with a safety standard of S1P or higher.
