You only need to remove the 80 dB that is normally safe. So does the ambient noise in your workplace have an average volume of 100 dB? Then you need earplugs with an SNR value of at least 20 dB.

Other types of hearing protection

Gently push these into your ears until you feel a good seal. Sometimes these plugs are attached in pairs to a bracket, which allows you to ensure that the earplugs seal as well as possible and are placed in the best possible position. In addition, the hearing aid ensures that you can easily hang the earplugs around your neck without losing them when you do not need hearing protection.

In some workplaces the noise level is so great that conditions require heavier artillery. In that case, ear muffs are probably the best option for you. You wear these over the ear, so that they protect your ears against the harmful effects of ambient noise. These ear muffs are always attached to an ear brace, so that the sound-absorbing muffs always fit properly and you can adjust them to your own preference. The soft ear cushions also provide optimal comfort. These ear cushions are also available separately, so you do not have to worry that the ear muffs will lose their value if the cushions wear out.
