Under S2/S3 work shoes, the subcategory was previously Waterproof direct water contact for at least 80 minutes, this was referred to as Water Resistant (WR). To clarify this subcategory to the outside world, 2 new standards have been introduced here: S6 and S7 work shoes. These waterproof work shoes offer extra protection against water leakage, this is usually done by means of an intermediate layer or lining such as GoreTex, Waterproof and HDry. These are breathable intermediate layers that do not let water in, making S7 work shoes truly waterproof.

S7 technologies

Maintain S7 Work Shoes

Maintaining S7 work shoes is the same as other types of work shoes, what is important to take into account is the breathable function of, for example, Goretex. For example, leather grease reduces the breathability of leather work shoes with waterproof materials, so it is best to use leather gel. Furthermore, the maintenance is the same.
