The fibers used in the fabric of this multi-standard coverall contain 60% modacrylic, an inherently flame-retardant fiber that does not burn. The fibers are difficult to ignite and will self-extinguish, providing natural flame retardancy without the need for chemical treatment with FR in the textile process. These fibers are blended with 39% cotton and 1% carbon fiber for extra strength and protection against electrostatic discharge. The UPF 50+ fabric of this overall blocks 98% of UV radiation
